The more the time comes to go to Paris, the more I get nervous. At this point I am “seasoned traveller”, I’m not supposed to feel the way I do, but probably all this is the nervousness of going to something I’ve never imagined I will go to.

My brain keeps returning me back more than 15 years ago when I went to my first visual kei concert in Sofia – it was GUILD (ギルド), who then proceeded to stay my most favourite band for the next 13 years. I still love them, of course, but the new vocalist can’t live up to Ryuichi’s legacy and although Takuma and Koichi are still great, I just can’t make myself listen to whatever new they (re)make.

This time though I’m seeing MUCC, Versailles, JILUKA, D’espairsRay (and more) and I can’t believe this is actually happening. MUCC and Versailles are two of my most favourite visual kei bands of all time, and just the fact that I will see them live is messing up with my brain. Of course, I am thankful for the opportunity to go and actually see them, but if it wasn’t for the festival I wouldn’t set my foot in Paris in July.

I’m seriously behind with my reading goal this year, but I keep selecting books that are difficult to read and far from the mood I am in. I’m trying to read more of “If I had your face” by Frances Cha and failing miserably. I think I need to switch to some summer romance novels in order to get my reading back on track, and easy as it used to be.

And since I’m so stuck, I actually started listening again the audio books for the ACOTAR books, the dramatized versions. I’m currently on ACOMAF, when Feyre, Rhysand and Amren are at the Summer Court. This is probably the 15th time I’m back to the story, but who can blame me, these are my comfort books (yeah, I know, fights, war and fictional men… so nice, right?).

Netflix now has some very old and very favourite Japanese dramas available to watch. I saw some time ago that we have Kurosagi and Hana Kimi, but I wasn’t ready to watch. The other day though, I saw that they have Gokusen and was just about to start rewatching the 1st season, when I saw that they also have Nobuta wo Produce. You cannot imagine my scream of joy seeing this drama available – after all everything started with Kamenashi Kazuya and Yamashita Tomohisa. It is unnecessary to even mention that I started watching it right away, and singing loudly to “Seishun Amigo” (my neighbours upstairs totally deserve this, and the ones on my level are old and almost deaf and has no issue with my music outbursts).

Ame no Orchestra (雨のオーケストラ) is probably my most favourite song by MUCC. It is not one of the most popular ones, but I secretly hope that they will play it at the festival. If not, then maybe Yakusoku (暁).
